Riverwood, a Centex Homes development, is located along the northern bank of the Myakka River to the west of Port Charlotte.  Riverwood is a beautifully manicured 1,300 acre gated community comprised of approximately 850-900 residences at the time of this writing with a build out plan of about 1,300- 1,500.  Types of residences include single family homes, carriage homes as well as villas.  Prices of the residences range from the upper 200's to the upper 700's.



The Riverwood amenities include a Gene Bates designed golf course rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest, a 12,000 square foot Activity Center, an Olympic sized pool and spa, and Hard-Tru tennis courts.  There is also a private beach club facing the Gulf of Mexico on Manasota Key.  Separate membership is required for many of the amenities.
