Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, and the communities nearby in Lee and Sarasota counties offer a broad range of artistic experiences for the residents and visitors. Music, dance, theater, and visual arts activities are available through museums, theaters, concert halls, and galleries. Instruction for all ages is readily available in the area. Art advocacy groups such as the Arts & Humanities Council, the Visual Arts Center and the Charlotte Symphony provides the community with grants funding artist support.
