Charlotte County: The Jewel of Southwest Florida!

  WhW

Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte and the Charlotte County area of Florida are situated in the heart of Southwest Florida between Sarasota to the north and Fort Myers to the south. Sarasota is a convenient one hour drive and Ft. Myers is a short 30 minute car ride.  Both Ft. Myers and Sarasota have major airports which make traveling to Punta Gorda, Charlotte County and the Gulf Islands convenient from anywhere in the United States as well as overseas.  Our community is on the water's edge of the 2nd largest natural harbor Florida has to offer.  Our lifestyle possesses a wonderful balance between Nature, outdoor recreational activities, the Arts, and a relaxed pace of life.  The amenities are  all close at hand- beaches, golf courses, tennis clubs, two major airports, Edison Community College, Florida Gulf Coast University, and three highly rated hospitals- all without the congestion of a large Metropolitan Area.

As our Tourist Bureau likes to say, if the words "unchanged, unspoiled, uncluttered, untouched, unhurried, and unbelievable" appeal to you, then come see why our area is called "Florida's Best Kept Secret."

The aerial photo below shows the fantastic canal system Punta Gorda offers.
